Irwin Mitchell Leeds To Present At CEO Open Day

Staff Retention and Succession Planning On The Agenda

24.02.2012

Legal experts from Irwin Mitchell’s Leeds office have been appointed to address an audience of 150 senior business leaders at an event on 2nd March which aims to provide practical advice on how to succeed during an economic downturn.

Speaking at an open day at Oulton Hall, which has been organised by leading chief executive and mentoring organisation Vistage, Irwin Mitchell’s employment Partner, Glenn Hayes, and corporate Partner, Paul Johnson, will highlight the common issues, benefits and pitfalls of succession planning, along with an analysis of various options for incentivising key members of staff.

Other speakers include economist and strategist, Roger Martin-Fagg and personal coach, Marcus Child. Alex Reeves, Group Marketing Director at The Access Group and Andy Collier, Regional Director from The FD Centre, will also present.

Glenn Hayes at Irwin Mitchell in Leeds said: “It’s crucial in today’s economy that businesses retain and motivate their best employees. Companies are running as lean as possible and the impact of high-performers leaving can be catastrophic. Along with a practical guide to possible succession strategies, both Paul and I will analyse the various incentives which can be offered, ranging from non-financial options to bonuses and shareholder schemes.”

Leading chief executive coaching and mentoring organisation, Vistage International, appointed Irwin Mitchell as one of its UK strategic alliance partners last year.

As part of the agreement, Partners from Irwin Mitchell’s Business Legal Services team, regularly present and provide advice for attendees at the organisation’s UK programme of events.
