Family Hope For Answers
A four day inquest into the unexpected death of Eric Oliver will begin at Rotherham Coroner’s Court on 5 October 2010.
Mr Oliver, a father of eleven from Rotherham, died aged 85 on 23 May 2009, shortly after he was admitted to Rotherham District General Hospital suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and emphysema.
The inquest, which is to be held by Ms N Mundy is scheduled to run until 8 October 2010, will examine the cause of Mr Oliver’s unexpected death.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Gary Walker, a medical law specialist at Irwin Mitchell, said: “Eric’s family have been left devastated by his sudden death, and they hope that the inquest will go some way to providing the answers to the questions that remain as to how and why he died.”
