Illness Outbreak In Wales
The former owner of a takeaway shop, Ramazan Aslan, 35, from Ellesmere Port, Cheshire has appeared in Wrexham Magistrates Court following nine charges of breaching food hygiene regulations, following an E. coli outbreak in 2009.
Mr Aslan was the former owner of the Llay Fish Bar, which was named as the likely source of an outbreak in August 2009. Mr Aslan has been given unconditional bail.
The fish bar was at the centre of investigation when four people were taken ill. The hearing was adjourned until 9 December, when the case is expected to be committed to crown court.
