Investigation Launched Into Incident
A man whose vehicle crashed into a marked police car on the A9 in Scotland has died.
The motorist was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident near the Aberuthven junction, in which his vehicle collided with the back of a Tayside Police car dealing with an issue on the carriageway.
An investigation has been launched into the crash, which occurred on Wednesday evening (December 29th), while the policemen on the scene have been treated for minor injuries.
Elaine Russell, a lawyer at Irwin Mitchell’s Glasgow office, said: “While the details which have emerged in relation to this terrible case so far are sketchy, it is vitally important that authorities work quickly to investigate what happened.
“Answers in relation to the cause will undoubtedly have been demanded by the victim’s loved ones, while any results of the investigation could be used to ensure that similar incidents can be avoided in the future.”
