Wirral Social Worker Found Guilty of Six Counts of Child Abuse

After a hearing lasting two weeks, The General Social Care Council (GSCC) struck off the care worker (David Lawrence Morris) after finding him guilty of abusing three disabled boys whilst at Arrowe Hall (an overnight care centre) in the 1980s.

The adolescents involved were between them suffering from a variety of conditions including cerebral palsy and could not walk, read or write.

The young boys remained silent to the abuse for some 20 years [approx.] until seeing David Morris by chance at a Wirral day centre in 2004 which lead to the victims' immediately unfolding details of the horrific abuse sustained whilst they were previously under his care.

Police investigated the matter but later decided the case could not be brought to court due to lack of evidence.
