Irwin Mitchell Raises Money For Dogs For The Disabled
Lawyers from Irwin Mitchell’s Leeds office raised £471 for its office charity of the year Dogs for the Disabled.
Ten members of staff held collections at Tesco in Ilkley and Morrisons in Kirkstall with trainee assistance dog Buckley proving a hit with shoppers young and old.
Dogs for the Disabled trains dogs to carry out a range of practical tasks to assist disabled children and adults in order to achieve greater independence.
Rachelle Mahapatra, a Partner at Irwin Mitchell, said: “It was great to raise awareness of Dogs for the Disabled and the terrific work they do.
“We met a huge number of very kind people and we’d like to thank them for giving such a generous amount.
“The money will help Dogs for the Disabled continue their wonderful service and gives us great encouragement that our year of fundraising will lead to an impressive final total.”
