Car Collides with Lorry
A 35-year-old motorist has died in Lancashire after his car was involved in a head-on collision with a lorry.
The crash between a Vauxhall Astra car and an HGV carrying 35 tonnes of concrete happened in Lancashire on the A585 near Blackpool.
The driver of the Astra, who has not been formally identified but is known to be from the Wyre area, died at the scene. His family are being contacted by police.
Police have appealed for any witnesses who may have information about the collision to contact them.
In particular, they would like to speak to the driver of a small, red car that was travelling behind the Astra, as well as the driver of a third car travelling behind the red one.
Police believe both drivers witnessed the collision but neither vehicle stopped.
