Peaceful protest arrest
A man who was filming a demonstration against the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act outside Downing Street was left with injuries after he claimed that police dragged him into a police van.
Mr Haw, who was arrested along with six other protesters claims that an officer pushed the camera that he was holding striking his face.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said they were forced to act because the march contravened the Socpa legislation.
Ifti Manzoor from Irwin Mitchell Solicitors said: "The right to peaceful protest is of fundamental importance and it was unfortunate that Mr Haw was arrested.
"It seems on the face of it that Mr Haw was allegedly dealt with in a heavy handed manner but has apparently chosen not to make a formal complaint against the police."
