Irwin Mitchell has appointed Greg Saunders to head up its commercial litigation services in the North West.

Greg, 31, joins the firm in its Manchester office from law firm Hadens where he was Head of Litigation for the past two years.

Boasting a wealth of experience in all areas of litigation ranging from defamation claims to high value multi-party disputes, Greg will be responsible for expanding the firm's commercial litigation presence into the Manchester market.

Commenting on his appointment Greg, who joins the firm as an Associate, said: "I was attracted to the firm because of its reputation for excellence. I am looking forward to the challenge ahead. We recognise there is a huge opportunity to develop a department offering an unrivalled service here in the North West."

Greg's appointment is further evidence of Irwin Mitchell's commitment to ambitious growth plans for 2008 and the continued development of services to businesses in the North West.

Grahame Codd, managing partner of the Manchester arm reflected on a buoyant 2007. He said: "In the past 12 months we have nearly trebled in terms of staff based here. We are growing significantly and developing a range of services within the office for both individuals and business."
