Falls and accidents when shopping

Solicitors specialising in personal injury are warning shoppers to be extra aware of potential dangers of shopping.

David Urpeth from law firm Irwin Mitchell said: "Christmas time is an exceptionally busy time for shops and supermarkets. Some retailers fail to engage the proper resources to provide shoppers with a safe environment."

"Unfortunately, I represent many people who have been injured as a result of retailers not fully appreciating the need to keep the displays neat, walkways clutter free and spillages cleaned up."
