Self Employed Handywoman Injured In Road Traffic Collision

Self Employed Handywoman Injured In Road Traffic Collision

Irwin Mitchell’s serious injury team have helped a woman claim the compensation she deserved after she was injured in a road traffic collision.

Our client, Antonia, was parked stationary in a parking bay when another motorist reversed into her vehicle. She suffered injuries to her thighs, knees, neck and shoulders and experienced problems with household chores and shopping.

Antonia was a self-employed handywoman at the time of the accident and has had to refuse work because of her injuries. She also used to be quite active, enjoying hobbies of cycling, swimming and walking; these are hobbies that she can no longer enjoy due to the pain she experiences.

The motorist admitted he was at fault and after a series of negotiations, Rosalyn Holmes, a road traffic collision expert based in the Sheffield office, was able to recover £13,250 in an out of court settlement for Antonia.
