The Irwin Mitchell Accidents at Work Team recently helped a lady successfully claim a four figure sum of compensation after she was injured at work.
Our client worked in a chip shop and had to go the storeroom to get something from the fridge, but as she entered the storeroom she slipped on some liquid which was on the floor. Due to the lack of lighting in the storeroom, she couldn’t see the liquid on the floor. She fell onto the floor breaking her fall by putting out her left hand and landing with her full weight on her wrist.
How Was She Affected?
She suffered sprained ligaments in her hand and had to have time off work due to this incident.
What Was The Outcome?
Following the incident she contacted our Accidents at Work Team to discuss making a claim. With our assistance the other party admitted full liability for her accident and she received £3,000 in compensation.
