Our Accident at Work Team recently helped a 20 year old man to claim compensation after he was injured at work.
Our client was working as a Line Operator in a bakery and was returning a tray back into the correct place when the accident happened. As he stepped backwards he hit his head on part of the line machine.
There was no warning that the machine was at a low height and due to this incident our client sustained a head injury. He had to take two days off work while he recovered.
He has now returned to work and is still employed by the bakery, which has taken steps to ensure that this type of accident doesn’t happen again.
Following the incident, our client contacted Irwin Mitchell’s Accident at Work Team to discuss making a compensation claim. His employer admitted liability for the accident and our client received £1,700 in compensation.
