Our client, a 64 year old labourer was working for a large construction company when he was injured at work in March 2012.
Our client was working a late shift at the yard clearing and tidying up. As he was walking across the yard with a “men at work” sign under each arm he fell over something that was on the ground. As he had his hands full he could not put his hands out to break his fall. Our client suffered fractured ribs as a result.
The yard was dimly lit at the time of the accident.
The Defendants admitted liability for the accident and settled the matter out of court in the sum of £3,500 in December 2012.
