Lawyers from our Sheffield office helped a boy to claim compensation after he fell down an open manhole at school.
During a lesson in April 2010, our client entered a store room at the back of the classroom. As he walked in to the store room, he unexpectedly fell down an open manhole.
Our client missed two weeks of school as a result of the accident, suffered disturbed sleep, soft tissue damage to his back and was left with a scar on his leg.
The school admitted liability for the accident and our client was awarded £4,250 in an out of court settlement.
