Defective Product Claim
A London woman received £2,750 after sustaining burns and hair loss after using a hair dying product.
The woman, who had previously used the product without problems, suffered extensive skin damage and swelling to her face and scalp causing severe pain and discomfort and required 2 weeks from work and medical treatment for the wounds to her scalp.
Her claim was settled by Tania Bains Irwin Mitchell's Birmingham office.
Miss Bains commented, "My client placed her trust with the manufacturers of her hair dye and suffered pain, injury and embarrassment as a result of the injuries she suffered following application of the product. Fortunately I was able to arrange for my client to be expertly examined to ensure her injuries were healing appropriately and she made a full recovery."
