Office Occupiers: Changing Attitudes To Property Needs

Over three quarters (76%) of businesses surveyed by Irwin Mitchell think that if Britain exits from the European Union, it will be detrimental to their businesses, with over 23% saying it would be a disaster.

This is one of the findings of the third Business Occupier survey produced by Irwin Mitchell’s Real Estate team. As one of the leading UK real estate practices, we regard it as important to keep track of occupier trends and see how our clients and other businesses feel about the properties they occupy, where they want to be located, what plans they have for the future and how happy they are with the current legislative framework.

We canvassed senior decision makers at over 250 companies across the UK as to their views on the rental markets, trends in flexible office space and whether it’s still a landlord’s market. We also asked their views on UK Government policies and found that 41% say that regional devolution should be a key Government priority, as is getting the Northern Powerhouse up and running and improving connectivity between regional cities.
