We will be joined by guest speakers, Albert Reid, an Independent Educational Psychologist who has worked as an LEA psychologist and has written extensively about the assessment of children with complex needs and Polly Sweeney, Associate Solicitor in Irwin Mitchell’s public law team who specialises in education law.
The seminar will focus on:
- Education, Health and Care Plans and the new assessment process
- How you can ensure children’s educational needs are appropriately provided for through EHCP plans
- What families should expect in terms of transferring from a statement of special educational needs (SEN’s) and the new Education, health and care Plans (EHCP) and what they should do if they don’t feel the process has been conducted appropriately/that the EHCP needs challenging.
