Helping You Support and Manage Cancer in the Workplace

Every year 2,200 people in Sheffield hear the devastating news they have cancer so at some point, one of your employees may inform you that they have been diagnosed with it or are caring for someone who has cancer.

Those affected by the condition may be continuing to work after or even through treatment. Alternatively, it may lead to absence from work. In all cases, cancer is a disability under the Equality Act 2010 and it is important that you, as an employer, understand your rights and obligations.

Do you know your responsibilities as an employer to those suffering from or affected by cancer?

In this FREE Breakfast Seminar you will hear from a leading Employment Law specialist from Irwin Mitchell Solicitors on your legal responsibilities as an employer, as well as from Macmillan Cancer Support on the free resources and support they offer to employers through their Macmillan at Work Scheme. You will get a better understanding of the illness, your legal obligations and, more generally, how you can support your employees who are affected by it.
