Presented by Mathieu Culverhouse, an Associate Solicitor in Irwin Mitchell's Public Law Department, the topics will include: the test of capacity (covering capacity to marry and capacity to consent to sexual relations) and best interests decisions regarding serious medical treatment decisions including authorising end of life decisions.

Irwin Mitchell’s Public Law Department have considerable expertise in this field, having acted in a number of landmark decisions including:

W v M [2011] EWHC 2443 (Fam), G v E & others [2010] EWHC 621 (Fam), DBC v AB [2011] EWHC 101 (COP) and Independent News and Media & others v A [2010] EWCA Civ 343.
