The claim was brought against Social Services for a failure to remove him from his parental home at an earlier date and pursued 20 years after the events complained of took place. Foster parents can seek redress for alleged failure to be provided with sufficient information from Social Services about fostered children. Complaints can be made to the Local Government Ombudsman who is in a position to award financial compensation to foster carers, if appropriate.
