Mr X suffered serious injuries following an accident in Holland. In December 2000 he was working in Holland, he travelled home from work by bus as he got off the bus he was hit by a car sustaining serious injuries.

He fractured his left ankle, right femur and pelvis and suffered a very serious brain injury leaving him in a permanent vegetative state and permanently confined to a wheelchair. He is unable to communicate or do anything for himself and requires round the clock care and assistance.

Liability was admitted in full and following discussions with the Defendants insurers an agreement was reached in respect of damages in this extremely complex claim.

Total global settlement: £1,070,000
