Non-contentious employment matters

Employment Law Solcitors

Our recent employment work includes the following notable cases:

  • Preparation of a complete set of contractual documentation for an industrial client, for directors, senior managers, junior managers, administrative staff and site operatives and preparation of a range of employment policies including disciplinary, grievance, maternity and family friendly matters, grievance and car policies.
  • Preparation of a fixed term contract for an advisory service which permitted the contract to be terminated in the occurrence of certain events, for example the withdrawal of Government funding.
  • Drafting specialist employment contracts and service agreements for surgical staff, taking in to account their specialist skills and surgical duties required.
  • Advising employers and employees upon severance agreements and the implication and effect of signing.
  • Advising a locally-based Government agency upon a voluntary redundancy scheme and advising upon the agency's proposal to offer loyalty bonuses to key post holders in return for remaining in post until a specific date. The advice included negotiating and drafting 23 compromise agreements which were all completed on the same day with the assistance of a local independent solicitor. Completion in this way resulted in significant costs savings for the agency.
  • Advising senior employees upon the effect and implications of proposed severance agreements including obtaining the payment of salary for life under a permanent health insurance scheme and obtaining Inland Revenue clearance upon the payment of a six - figure sum, ensuring that it could be paid to the employee without deduction of tax.
