Man Receives Compensation for Burn Injury in Accident at Work

A man has received over £9000 in compensation after suffering injuries in an work accident.

Mr X sustained burns during the course of his work when a hot substance spurted from a machine under high pressure hitting him in the face and neck.

As a result of the burns he also suffered psychological problems.

The claim was settled by Lynne Parker of Irwin Mitchell’s specialist Accident at Work Team who deal with all industrial accidents including burn injuries at work.

She said, "This would have been a particularly frightening and painful experience for Mr X which could have easily been avoided had the machine been properly maintained."
