Man Receives Compensation after Accident at Work
Accident at Work
30/06/2008
A man has received £8000 compensation after being injured in an accident at work.
Mr H suffered a fractured middle finger, bruising and abrasions to his hand, face, knees and a blunt trauma to his chest in the work accident in October 2004.
Mr H was an HGV driver and was loading a skip onto his lorry when the lorry tipped over, injuring him.
It was alleged that the skip was overloaded and that Mr H's employers had failed to ensure that the skip level had been reduced so as to be safe and had failed to train Mr H adequately in relation to safe loading.
The case was settled by Louise Morgan of Irwin Mitchell’s specialist Industrial Accident Team who deal with all types of work accident compensation claims for people who may have suffered a fractured arms or legs at work, back injury at work or head injury at work, amongst others.
