Leeds Man Receives Compensation After Accident in Shop

A Leeds man has received £12,000 compensation after being injured in an accident at a shop.

Mr X was assisting with the cutting of a granite worktop that he wished to purchase from the DIY superstore. His finger became trapped between the worktop and the mounted vertical saw and he suffered partial amputation of the finger tip of his middle finger.

As a result of the accident, Mr X will continue to have ongoing symptoms of sensitivity to heat.

His settlement was achieved by Cathryn Godfrey of Irwin Mitchell’s specialist Public Liability Team based in Leeds.
