£15,000 Compensation for Knee Injury at Work
Injury at work case
Our client was working as a bricklayer at the time of his injury, working up on scaffolding. He was carrying a heavy block along the scaffolding when his foot slipped through a gap left between the scaffolding boards. The client’s other leg to give way causing his knee to twist resulting in a meniscus tear.
The scaffolding company failed to ensure that the scaffolding platform being used by our client was safe to be used in that sufficient checks of the platform were not made and that the boards were not held in place to prevent them moving apart.
Proceedings were issued but the case was settled out of court through negotiation.
We obtained £15,000 in work injury compensation for our client.
