Compensation for Sheffield Man Following Fall on Tram Tracks

Pothole trip accident

A Sheffield man has received £20,000 in compensation after tripping in a pothole adjacent to the tram tracks in Sheffield.

Mr X was walking along Middlewood Road in Sheffield in December 2003 when he decided to cross the road which required him to cross the tram tracks. As he was doing so, he tripped and fell in a pothole which was adjacent to the tram lines. Mr X was helped up by his partner and then immediately sought medical treatment at the Hospital.

Mr X suffered a fractured elbow in the accident requiring surgery.

The claim was settled against Sheffield Supertram and was represented by Katrina Elsey of Irwin Mitchell’s Public Liability team.
