Compensation for Industrial Deafness caused by Work Conditions

Industrial deafness cases

Mr D worked for Remploy from 1987 to 1995 and was exposed to excessive levels of noise whilst employed as an Assembly Operative/Repairer. He was exposed to noise from a sander and air gun and as a result developed industrial deafness.

After issuing the claim, compensation was settled through negotiation without the need for Court proceedings.

Mr G worked at Heinz from 1950 to 1981 within various departments such as ravioli, soup and sauces. Mr G contracted industrial deafness from the employment after being exposed to excessive levels of noise from the dicers, mincers, pulpers, finishes and kettles.

He pursued a claim against his former employers and recovered a four figure out of court compensation settlement.
