Irwin Mitchell recovers record compensation in France for injured client

Record head injury compensation claim in France

Mr X and his wife were out walking on holiday in France when they were hit by a car being driven by a French man. The driver faced criminal charges in respect of the accident. Mrs X was killed and Mr X suffered a severe brain injury, facial injuries, a punctured lung and a fractured pelvis. He was in a coma initially and required neurosurgery in France where he remained in hospital.

He was then transferred to the UK where his treatment continued. He is currently living in a residential unit in Loughborough.

In an out of court settlement our client received £2.2 million in compensation for the head injuries he sustained.

The compensation our client has received will enable him to have the necessary modifications made to his house and allow an appropriate care regime to be put into place.
