A Man has received £22000 compensation after he was injured in an industrial accident.
Mr X suffered the accident at work in November 2005 whilst employed as an Engineer Fitter/Operator in a papermill.
The accident occurred as Mr X was walking through the plant and when he was caused to slip and fall by wet paper/pulp that was on the floor.
Mr X sustained a rupture to a knee tendon requiring surgery, immobilisation in a brace and use of crutches for 2 months. He required physiotherapy and was off work for five months and had to alter his role at work due to restrictions in the movement of his knee which constantly aches.
His ability to carry out jobs around the house such as DIY and gardening has also been affected as has his hobby of playing golf.
