Compensation for Hearing Loss caused by Lack of Protective Equipment

Noise induced hearing loss case

Our client, now retired, worked as a baker between 1980 and 2005 and was exposed to excessively loud noise without hearing protection.  As a result, the client suffers with noise induced hearing loss and with some tinnitus.

He was not provided with any form of hearing protection until approximately 2003.

Although a huge national company, the employer did not protect the client from loud noise exposure by either reducing noise levels, or providing hearing protection. A letter of claim was sent to the Defendant who admitted liability. The claim was settled pre-issue of proceedings with our client receiving the sum of £5,000 plus his costs.

If you have suffered hearing loss from work and were not provided with protective equipment during your employment, we can help. Fill in our online claims form here for a free case assessment.
