Accident at Work Compensation for Waitress

Accident at work caused by slip on wet floor surface

Our client, aged 19 on the date of her accident at work, sustained injury when she slipped on a wet floor.

It was discovered that soapy water was covering the surface of the floor, without any hazard notice.

Our client sustained soft tissue injuries to right wrist, neck, left arm and shoulder and concussion.

Liability was admitted and the settlement was negotiated, with our client receiving £6,000 in accident compensation.

Specialist work accident solicitor commented: "Employers need to make sure that they have systems in place for ensuring floors at work are kept free from substances likely to cause their employees to slip and fall."
