Accident at Work Leads to Compensation for Dislocated Elbow

Accident at work compensation case

Our client was working on a ladder repairing a heavy sign at the time of his accident at work.

Due to the fact there was no proper work equipment provided, including no stepladder and not enough men for the job, our client fell after being knocked off the ladder.

As a result of the accident, he dislocated his right elbow, requiring surgery.

Liability was admitted and compensation settlement negotiated. Our client recieved £18,000 for his accident at work.

Lisa Fairclough, who represented our client, said: Employers need to provide appropriate equipment for the job and also assess the risks before the job is undertaken to and ensure there are enough men so the job can be undertaken safely.
