17/03/2008
Law firm Irwin Mitchell has given the South East Sheffield Citizens Advice Bureau a helping hand this month with a donation of £500.
The donation, intended to support the CAB in its work with the community, highlights the financial problems faced by the organisation which is not funded centrally.
Adrian Budgen, Chair of the Bureau said: "The Citizens Advice Bureau is a valuable asset to the people of South East Sheffield and it is imperative that the local business community continues to support it."
The organisation is based in Mosborough and offers a free, confidential, impartial and non-judgmental advice service to everybody.
Manager Linda Whitley said: "The CAB is not funded centrally as many people think as so we are reliant on grants, charitable donations and volunteers without which we could not operate.
"Firms like Irwin Mitchell allow us to continue to support the community with advice on issues such as debt management."
David Urpeth from Irwin Mitchell said: "The firm is committed to supporting the work of the CAB and we are delighted to be able to make this donation."
