Partner at Irwin Mitchell
Specialises in international travel litigation.

Suki's caseload consists primarily of group actions against U.K. based tour operators, or single party actions against defendants in foreign jurisdictions (working in conjunction with foreign agent lawyers).

His team handles in excess of 2000 clients with various multi-party actions against major U.K. tour operators. A number of the group illness actions are amongst the largest of their kind ever pursued in the U.K. and have resulted in multi-million pound settlements. These cases continue to attract local and national press, radio and T.V. interest, and he has been interviewed and/or quoted in the press and media on several occasions in connection with his work. Suki has also regularly been called upon to present training and lecture programmes, and to advise clients by way of group presentation.

The claims are based in negligence, breach of contract, misrepresentation and breach of statutory duty. An understanding of all of these areas is essential to the successful prosecution of claims on behalf of the claimants. In addition, by their nature as group actions, the claims have a generic element which requires a high degree of proficiency and understanding on a range of tactical and logistical levels. This is litigation of the most challenging nature and regularly involves making new law or pushing the boundaries of existing law. Most recently this can be seen in the light of challenges on costs capping and damages relating to Pain, Suffering and Loss of Amenity.
