Joined Irwin Mitchell in June 1990 as a legal clerk and has progressed to her current position as Associate and head of the Special Damages Unit.
Established the Special Damages Unit at Irwin Mitchell Sheffield in 1990. This subsequently expanded into a team of 12 fee earners which is a well recognised centre of excellence. Advice is sought from me and the team by fee earners of all levels from Paralegals to Partners, and, externally from Barristers and Accountants.
The majority of quantum work for all the Irwin Mitchell offices is carried out by the special damages team. All the fee earners and partners have access to the team’s specialist service in preference to outsourcing the preparation of schedules. The team assists fee earners in case conferences, client meetings, preparation for trial, preparing critiques on defendant’s evidence and offering advice and supporting evidence on areas which we are able to offer our experience.
Has dealt with many high profile, high value and boundary breaking cases over the last 16 years.
