This is an action against the police involving allegations of false imprisonment, assault, malicious prosecution and breach of human rights of a group of 15 animal right protestors following demonstration at Oxford on 21.6.06
Appley and others v Kent Police
This is an action against the police involving allegations of false imprisonment and breach of human rights. Our clients were part of a coach trip for a demonstration in Dover on 31.7.06. Upon arrival at Dover, police refused to give permission for the group to demonstrate, ordered them back on the bus and the clients were driven all the way back to London under police escort.

David Powell v West Yorkshire Police (2003)
The client had suffered serious head injuries and the police mistakenly believed he was drunk. No prompt medical attention was given and he was left with permanent brain injuries – the case was settled out of court for £310,000.
