Glen practices exclusively in civil litigation, with a strong specialisation in personal injury and complex liability disputes. He advises at all levels in cases of differing complexity, ranging from small claims to maximum complexity multi-track claims. Glen has a broad range of advocacy and advice experience encompassing road traffic accidents, public liability claims (Highway claims), employers liability, breach of statutory duty, injuries caused by animals, credit hire, fatal accidents and inquests.

Associate at Irwin Mitchell

Has day to day operational responsibility of the Advocacy Unit, a professional support unit located at Riverside West in Sheffield. Is responsible for setting the business objectives and Key Performance Indicators of the Unit as well as the control and management of its members, including recruitment, training, monitoring appraising and motivating.

Leads a team of Advocates who represent the interests of the firm and it’s client base at court on a variety of general interim applications; hearings to determine the future conduct of a case; Infant hearings, both approval and disposal; Small claims hearings; Small Claims and Fast Track assessment of damages hearing; and Inquests.

Career:
Educated at the Universities of Keele and Leeds, and the Inns of Court School of Law, holds a Bachelor of Arts Joint Honours degree in History and Politics; a Postgraduate Diploma in Law; a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Skills; a Degree of Utter Barrister and a Master of Laws Degree. Qualified as a barrister and was called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn on the 8th November 1998. Joined the firm in October 1999 and made Associate in November 2005.
