Coach Crash On M4 Leaves 25 Injured

Around 25 people have been injured on the Wiltshire/Berkshire border after a coach crashed on the M4 on Wednesday, March 5.

Most of the casualties suffered minor injuries but one person sustained a spinal injury in the incident that took place between junction 14 for Hungerford and the Membury Services.

Fire crews and staff from Berkshire Ambulance attended the scene and the driver of the coach was taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon. Others were taken to Membury Services for further treatment in a second coach.

Thames Valley Police have advised that on first inspection the coach appears to have left the motorway and travelled down an embankment, coming to a rest in some trees. The cause of the accident is still unknown.
