Hepatitis E affects British holidaymakers onboard Aurora Cruise Ship
Reports have been received after a number of passengers on board the Aurora cruise ship, contracted Hepatitis E during a recent 12-week world cruise which ended in Southampton on the 28th March 2008.
The British holidaymakers involved are believed to be between 50 and 70 years old . The Health Protection Agency is investigating the possible source of the infection. Irwin Mitchell Solicitors are currently investigating these reports and urge anyone to come forward if they have been affected by similar problems.
Symptoms of the illness, which is a severe form of liver inflammation, include yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice) and darkening of the urine.
