Gran Canaria coach crash

Irwin Mitchell (IM) is calling for tougher safety measures on coach travel abroad following the third coach crash in less than two months. Following incidents in Austria and Peru in August this year, a third coach crash took place yesterday in Gran Canaria, sadly involving fatalities.

Clive Garner, head of the international travel litigation unit at leading national law firm, IM, comments: "The number of coach crashes in recent months really does heighten concern about the safety of coach travel abroad. There have been numerous coach crashes overseas in recent years, sadly involving large numbers of people, with some fatalities. For some time now we have been calling for improved safety checks. More rigorous measures need to be put in place to minimise the risk of accidents like this happening."

Clive Garner is currently acting on behalf of four victims involved in the Austrian coach crash in July this year. Clive Garner and IM solicitors have recovered compensation for many British victims of coach crashes abroad following accidents in South Africa, Turkey, Spain, Italy, India, Morocco and the USA.
