A firm has been fined almost £9,000 after an employee lost his arm in a combine harvester.

Richard Higgins' was working for DTJ Morris and Sons when he put his hand in to free up some equipment that had become jammed.

The 17 year olds sleeve got caught and the blades, which a colleague was sharpening, severed his arm.

Owner, Neil Morris, admitted two charges brought by the Health and Safety Executive and was fined £4,500 and ordered to pay £4,300 in costs by Ludlow magistrates.
