Delayed Thomson flight TOM1578 – Cancun, Mexico to Birmingham, 7-9 August 2006

On 7 August 2006 passengers boarded Thomson flight TOM1578 at Cancun, Mexico to Birmingham.

Problems with the toilets on the plane meant that the flight had to be diverted to Goose Bay in Canada, leading to a 23 hour delay.

Passengers complained that they were left to fend for themselves at military barracks at Goose Bay and felt that they had been abandoned by Thomson.

We are currently assessing the viability of pursuing a group action against Thomson. If you would like to register your interest in joining a group action in relation to this problem, without obligation, call Alex Greaves on 0114 274 4661 or email alex.greaves@irwinmitchell.com
