Occupational Asthma Study Day

Following the successful Occupational Asthma Study day held in April 2007, this second study day will be held at the Birmingham offices of Irwin Mitchell on Wednesday 4th June 2008.
The Study day, held in conjunction with Birmingham Heartlands Hospital’s Occupational Lung Disease Team will focus on the medical and legal aspects of occupational asthma providing updates for 2007/2008.
The day will incorporate short presentations followed by in-depth case study sessions providing the opportunity to share best practice. Attendees are invited to submit case studies prior to the event for discussion.
The following topics will be covered:
- A Clinical Overview of Occupational Asthma
- How common is Occupational Asthma? – The onset of Asthma and Asthma provoked at Work
- The Anatomy of an Asthma Claim
- Workshop sessions including:
- Occupational Health Surveillance
- Peak Flows
- Website and raising awareness of Occupational Asthma
- Case Studies on Occupational Asthma
