A serving army officer has successfully received compensation following a road traffic collision in London, in which he suffered serious injuries.

Our client, a serving Infantry officer, was injured in a road traffic collision in London whilst cycling home from work. As a result of the accident, he suffered a minor head injury and fractures to the neck, which led to a spinal cord injury that affects the movement in his arms and hands.

The severity of the spinal injury required our client to undergo surgical procedures and a lengthy period of rehabilitation. Whilst the client still suffers from weakness in his arms and legs he has made a remarkable recovery following his rehabilitation, and has remained employed by the armed forces.

Thanks to the work of Irwin Mitchell solicitors, the client received an out of Court settlement for £50,000. Furthermore, the driver of the vehicle who injured the client successfully prosecuted for driving without due care and attention.
