A man has received £10,000 compensation after he was injured in a road traffic accident.

Mr X was walking around his neighbourhood on a fine, light day.  As he was walking along the pavement, past a row of garages, a car reversed from one of the garages knocking him over causing him to hit his head on the concrete and to be knocked unconscious.

Mr X sustained injuries to his head, elbow, knee and right ankle.  Upon attendance at A&E he was found to have sustained a fractured right ankle and lacerations to his head requiring stitches.  He was admitted to hospital for two nights.  Mr X was unable to walk up steps following the accident.

The Defendant admitted liability and the case was settled out of Court.
