Our client was knocked over by a reversing taxi whilst crossing the road causing him to fall onto the pavement injuring his face, including bruising and swelling to the forehead.  He also suffered pain, tenderness and stiffness in the left wrist with constant numbness in the tips of the thumb and fingers, as a result of the accident, causing him to wake at night.

The accident also triggered the onset of predisposed tinnitus, and induced carpal tunnel syndrome in the left hand and our client had to undergo a course of physiotherapy to his wrist.  He was left unable to work, drive or walk his dog for a short time, and was unable to socialise for up to three months as a result of his injuries.

The defendant admitted liability and Irwin Mitchell settled this case on behalf of the client, recovering £13,000 in an out of Court settlement.
