In July 2007 our client Mr x was protesting against the fur trade outside Harrods. Our client was told by police that he had to move and upon refusing he was arrested and taking into police custody. He was charged and at trial video evidence was shown which showed no offence had been committed and he was formally acquitted.

In December 2007 Mr X was again arrested outside Harrods for a breach of the peace - he was kept in custody for just under 2 hours.

A civil claim against the Metropolitan police was pursued in connection with both arrests which resulted in an out of court settlement and payment of legal costs.
