Our client, a man from Chester, was injured whilst assembling wardrobes. The incorrect parts were supplied which caused the wardrobe door to fall and injure his finger.
Our client suffered a partial amputation to his middle finger and needed surgery. He will now suffer ongoing symptoms of sensitivity to hot and cold temperatures.
Cathryn Godrey helped the man to recover £9,000 compensation in a product liability claim. Commenting on the case, she said: “Consumers are entitled to assume that products purchased are of a satisfactory quality. Unfortunately on this occasion the product supplied had passed through quality control with incorrect parts. Despite following the assembly instructions, our client sustained a serious injury due to the fact incorrect parts were supplied.”
